Las Reseñas de una Sopa დ.: The Dark In You de Suzanne Wright დ

Esta magnífica serie que me avente en nada más y nada menos que 7 días, (un libro por día), me dejó súper vacía al terminarla. Tenía mucho sin que una serie me tuviera tan picada, cada libro iba aumentando el nivel de emoción, el plot iba mejorando conforme avanzaba la historía. Y no dejemos de lado lo más importante: ES ROMANCE SOBRENATURAL CONTEMPORÁNEO, lo que significa que contiene alto contenido de smut, y de verdad que cada libro se ponía mejor en todos los aspectos; con cuatro libros principales en la trama seguido de tres para los personajes secundarios. En esta entrada hablaré solamente de los cuatro libros principales.

1. Burn

Finally a book I don’t give 5 stars to. But this was reallyyyyyy good don’t get me wrong.

Let’s start with the tropes:

The story follow the she-demon Harper, you can describe her as a “don’t get close to me” kind of girl, since pretty much everyone in her life has abandoned her. She doesn’t trust anyone easily, she’s very independent and can take of herself. But her lifestyle WILL change when she finds that her anchor, is none other, that the most powerful and successful demon in the Underground, Know Thorne. He’s very demanding and controlling, that will collide when he tries to control the free spirit that Harper is, she drives him crazy in many many ways. They most embrace themselves in this new life they got going on.

So, when it comes to plot, this does not have a good one. This was pure smut, every 10 pages the where in each other, not that I complain, but yeah. Plot? Nope, didn’t see it, but the spicy scenes? Yes, yep, very very vet steamy and good.

The only thing is that, the characters stated EVRY FREAKING MINUTE, that Harper was not like other GiRlzzzzzzz, she was feisty, badass, cursed like a sailor (apparently that’s a thing with badass women), and didn’t take any SugarHoneyIceTea from anyone, not even her delicious anchor and mate, Knox. And the thing is, if the main character is that different, there is no need in stating it every time.

So in things of recommendation, I would say it’s pretty entreating. If you want a full on smut reading, this is it. There’s another 3 book that I’m gonna read cause I’m curious, we’ll see how good or bad it gets.

2. Blaze

Con un compañero que, aunque caliente como el infierno, que es solo "un poco" sobreprotector, quiero decir, solo te pueden secuestrar practicantes oscuros una vez...Pero un nuevo peligro asecha, cuando uno de los demonios de Knox se vuelve rascal, y en su locura decide que Knox debe morir. Harper está preocupada, pero no Knox, o al menos así es hasta que descubre la voluntad de su pareja de interponerse entre él y el peligro.

I’m not gonna go too deep on the review. It was still the same as the first: steamy, hot, cute at times, the plot? Meh, it’s kinda there but not really. It is good to the point where I’m still gonna read the other books on the series, first cause I’m a little bit more inclined to the patterns of Harper’s friends, but I’m not OBSESSED with it. I’m gonna proceed to read another book of another series, and then I’ll continue. But yeah, it’s cool.

Four out of five? Even tho it has my least favorite trope? Yes, because this was so freaking cute it made my heart ache.

So I’ll be short on this one. I did like it way better than the other bools, cause this one was too sweet, too cute, a little pure, but still lots of smut. I was just wondering thro the 80% if there was gonna be the possibility for the main character to just enjoy herself without being kidnapped, but NOOOOO. That would be a miracle.

I’m staring to like these series, it started as a curiosity by a recommendation in BookTok, but it’s good, the plot it’s still so so, but it is interesting.

Last book of the original series, I’m so happy with the ending, this was the best book of all. Do have to say it creeped me out so damn much. It was so intense, so suspenseful, but so so so damn good.

This is the final book on the main story of the Dark in You series, which follows the whole relationship between our badass main character, Harper, and the delicious, protective and bad boy, Knox. I have to say their dynamic is so good, they have a good relationship very understanding considering that he is a control freak and she is free as a bird and doesn’t understand how to follow instructions. Them as a “married couple” (they aren’t but something like that) are so cute, and once again made me want to die, cause I’ll be alone all my life. Baby Asher was my favorite character, I could imagine him, he is so cute, and I’m not sure if there is or will be a book of him as a teenager or an adult, but I need to read it, I need it. I just have to know what will happen with him and if he is going to find a mate, how will she be like? I NEED TO KNOW.

In turns of the plot, it did improve with in each book, this last one was so good, had me on edge every chapter, and the smut, well what can I say? GOOD.

This series was a #BookTok recommendation, and it dis it’s job, it’s entreating, and I’m gonna continue with the secondary character’s book. Which are three apparently, so will see how that goes. Good series, good characters, good story, good smut. You can’t go any further or perfect than that.

Totally recommend it if you like supernatural romance, quick interaction/relationship between characters, and GRAFIC smut.

დ Reseña general de la serie:

Esta serie llego a mi por una recomendación de #BookTok , (vaya sorpresa), y debo decir que súper mis expectativas antes de leer y conforme iba leyendo, explico, al principio di un raiting de 3.5 porque el primer plot no tenía un plot en lo absoluto, simplemente vimos a los personajes principales ser anclas con beneficios, cada cierto capítulo había escenas smut y yo no tenía ningún problema con eso (fue la razón principal por lo que la empecé a leer), ¿y la trama con problemática que se estaba desarrollando? No apareció por ningún lado, no estaba presente, NO HABÍA EN POCAS PALABRAS. Pero habia algo que no me dejó soltar la serie y continué leyendo, fue mejorando libro con libro, cada uno tiene lo suyo, la posesividad de Knox y la tenacidad de Harper fue algo constante que me encanto en cada libro. Su relación iba mejorando y creciendo conforme avanzaba la trama, había una consistencia en cuanto a la formula de cada libro, llegó a ser predecible, pero eso no quita el hecho de que aún siendo una serie que empezo pareciendo ser solo un libro horny, termino siendo una serie que me dejó un vacío. Cabe aclarar que mis favoritos fueron los de la segunda parte de la serie, que hablan de cada personaje secundario y sus relaciónes. (De los cuales hablaré en la siguiente entrada porque quiero hablar específicamente de cada uno). Absolutamente todos me dejaron encantada y con ganas de saber más de su avance en la relación, incluso me quedé con ganas de saber acerca de Asher y su futuro como demonio, espero en el futuro Suzanne haga un libro de el siendo adulto, una puede soñar y esperar.

Esta serie es totalmente recomendada, en la escala de spice le damos un 5/5💦, pero advierto de los triggers en esta serie: contenido explícito y gráfico, traumas, tortura, asesinato y temas de abuso de sustancias.
